1998 Bakkehavn Art Gallery, Oslo. Solo exhibition with watercolors, oil and acrylics. The majority of the ca 30 pieces were naturalistic and of moderate size. Approximately 60 % of the paintings were sold.

2012, Strathmore Art Center, Maryland, USA. The 21st. Annual Strathmore Star Juried Exhibition.

While we lived in Washington DC I submitted 5 paintings to this prestigeous and juried exhibition. The Annual Strathmore Star Juried Exhibition in Washington DC. may be compared to the traditional Høstutstillingen in Norway. In previous years each artist were only allowed to submit one piece of work. This year, however, the organizers also allowed for an alternative option where artists were invited to submit a coherent collection of maximum five paintings. I decided to risk the latter option, and my joy was immense when I learned that three of my paintings were accepted, obviously in a tough competition where a large majority of the submitted works were refused.

Extraordinary joy followed when I realized that the jury had selected one of my paintings (Insect without title) for the front page of the exhibition cataloge, and furthermore that all three of my paintings were given the best possible exposure wallspace in the primary large hall in Strathmore Mansion. I was so proud.

I gave a lecture in the Flåklyasalen Hall in connection with the official opening. Title of the lecture was; “He who watches and he who paints”. (“Den som ser, og den som maler”).
